Ruminating On Rumi

As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears.

This Morning

Eyes hug this morning splendor
The white glory of the Olympic Mountains
Against the blue of morning skies.
Bathed in rays of red sunrise
Oh, how my heart finds it easy to soar on days like these
Nose full with crisp, salty freshness of ocean fragrance
Ears embrace waves whispering ripples up the stony shore
Skin alive, refreshed, touched by the cool
almost frosty morning dew
Soul envelopes this suchness in wings of wonder and gratitude

Still brain tries to word these wonders
Yet mouth can only fall open with the awe of it all.
